Don't believe the writing on the wall The truth will tear us apart (?) Sathit Sattarasart started his career in 2003. He is interested in ambiguities of language and his works are focusing on communication, relation and dialogue within the societies. Sathit’s works range from writing, found object, photography, video, and painting to installation, throughout which the written words/languages is the essential to his practice. Sathit is increasingly interested in presenting his work in unconventional spaces, where he can explore social-cultural relationships and chance encounters. By thus challenging the artistic process, Sathit seeks for his work the most appropriate interface with the general public. Currently, he lives and works in Bangkok Thailand. Some of Sathit's works have been showed at some international film festivals and exhibitions, among them Asian Contemporary Art Week (New York, 2006), Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival, (France, 2006), Jeonju International Film Festival, (Korea, 2006), the Busan Biennale (South Korea, 2006), and 15112551, Bohemian Art House (Phuket, 2008). His solo exhibitions include Brand New, Bangkok University Art Gallery, (Bangkok, 2005), and 'project drift' (2007), a self-organized show at Rose hotel Bangkok. And his latest solo show is 'Nothing at the end' (2009) Gallery VER, Bangkok, Thailand. And Sathit's recent projects have been dealing directly with the general public randomly.
